KERSHAW KNIVES

Kershaw began its foray into the knife business sometime during 1974. The company was originally based in Portland Oregon, but most early knives were manufactured in Japan. The first US manufacturing plant was opened in 1997 & the company currently offers knives made in the U.S., Japan, & China. Pete Kershaw (an ex Gerber salesman) started the business.

Thanks, Mark. It reminds me of a Zero Tolerance design. It’s probably the closest I’ll ever come to a ZT.

The Kershaw Junk Yard Dog (bottom) is a hearty knife… was a bit hard to find but a good score for my collection

The Kershaw Link (blue flag design) is also a favorite (third down)

The American Flag Keyshaw Leek (middle of left group below) was another good find

I'm more impressed by your flag motif collection. I'm a sucker for a knife with flag handles.

Always been a fan of Kershaw knives and seeing your pile o' Big Joes brought back some memories (had to dig 5 yrs. deep into the ol' archives for these pics). It's a cool knife, but, like the name says...it's a big 'un. I'm more partial to Joe's little bro, Wild Turkey. :D

Here is my Kershaw 2415. I picked this up used and I have not seen one with inlays like these. If you know what the Orca inserts are from let me know please.

Those are some gorgeous Kershaws! Here are a couple of the mine. The 2120 with buffalo bone is from 1980. It was my first decent knife but it was stolen. I found another one on the Bay many years later, I was so happy! The 1480 is another beauty with a clad VG-10 blade, Damascus bolster, and I believe Amboyna burl handle. Both are by Kai. Enjoy!
