I have added a few more tools and organized my setup some. I have 6 paying knife orders to finish before next spring, thus the investment.
Left to right:
- Built a small rack for small tools, scribes, etc.
- Installed my $5 large vise for RR spike knives, etc.
- Grizzly bandsaw with a fence dedicated to handles/scales
- Dust collection system using a shop vac
- Harbor Freight hang-alls for the belts
- And a custom stamp
The knife making area of my shop is 15' x 15', setup where I have 1-5 steps to any given area.

Seems like you're already booked until spring, but if you'd like a 7th knife order in exchange for cold hard cash, I'd sign up for a RR spike knife. Have always wanted one, but when I see them in the wild they're often surrounded by "damascus" "knives" with "exotic" wood handles from parts unknown.

You are correct Zach ... I am very much into details and doing anything I set my hands to, to the the best of my ability. Tools, organization, and a willingness to keep learning, all go into that mindset.

You have been on my list, but not the paying list. All I would like in return is a good honest review of the knife you receive.
Been waiting to see what you would like, and now you have spilled the beans.
A friend gave me some RR spikes to work with. I will make you one when time allows, or sooner if I get inspired to do a RR spike.

Transformed my knife shipping station into a shipping/sheath making station, just around the corner from my drill press, etc., but can't use it yet.
All is ready for my wintertime knife work now but after 4-5 more weeks of upholstery

Appreciate it Kerry! A lifetime of experience is in that sofa. Started upholstering at age 16 ... long time ago now.

Many thanks Kevin! About 4 steps to the right of this station is our upholstery cutting table (60" x 10 ft),
now doubling as a table for cutting out sheath patterns. Organization is always a work in progress, as things change.

Latest from my shop .... have made my first sheath.
This summer, I picked up this 1933-46 Case knife ... best I can date it ... most of the info was found here on AAPK. It did not have a sheath, so I made one. Happy with it for a first, but the strap is a little too narrow and too short. The knife fits tight, but not too tight, with a 3/8" welt. The color is mahogany and hand stitched.
