Guys, I only paid $25.00 for the knife from a friend. If I can get it to close, lock and function, I'm a happy camper.
Nice score!! You have to show it off once it’s all repaired. Are you going to have it fixed like a Rat Rod and only have it fixed or will you have the entire knife shined to the gills?
Just want it to be functional and clean up some of the dark spots on the blade. It's a pretty old latama picklock so it'll go in the collection once it's been cleaned and serviced. Everyone seems to be backed up with work so that'll be a while.
have you tried to contact Liam Clark to fix it ? he is the kid i was talking about that makes full custom made stilettos but he also repairs automatic/pocket knives , he started out fixing/repairing stilettos and still does but he also makes full custom made stilettos , he makes every part blade backspring/spring liners handles bolsters button and safety , he does awesome work and at 18yrs old will amaze you in what he can do

I saw a thread on one of the forums how he is the best repairman and customizer there is. Interesting a high school kid after only a couple years is now the most desired repair man around. Not my words. That’s what I read.
It’s not a competition though. It’s great we have many good repair guys for all types of repairs. I read of a guy Brent M out west who is doing custom Italian knives that are beautiful.

Liam is the very best ever wow very cool ther are other repair / customizers that make some awesome automatic knives BURN still makes some very nice quality stiletto and other style automatic knives but dont think he restores or repairs them anymore but i could be wrong you would have to email him and find out if he still repairs knives as this is how he started was fixing old automatic knives , Burn has been at it for 30+ years Liam only been doing it few years now but man is Liams stuff amazing for a 18 year old kid he does stuff that is just plain awesome, at his age he is very smart about metal and making automatic knives and he dont mind giving tips on how he does stuff just a great guy for a 18 year old kid and very talented at his young age . very cool to see the younger generation getting involved in ole style Italian stiletto knives as very few knife makers make stiletto or automatic knives , Liam shows you step by step in pictures and description what he is doing to make these knives which is super cool of him to do and provides very helpful tips and suggestions .

I agree. He’s already better than any self proclaimed “experts.” Everyone wants “Liam clout.” Lol
Liam is an all around great guy. Well educated. I see some folks talks for years about their gear and dubious awards and such but that doesn’t make you educated or smart or a good person.
It’s nice to see the younger untainted repairs guys and collectors in the hobby. No baggage from the internet over the past 25 years. Younger people are awesome. I have two children and I’m putting them through the top schools in the USA. They earned full tuition and scholarships and I’ve done the rest. I talk to most of the younger and enthuiastic switchblade collectors ever day in big group chats. These younger guys are smart and can learn from facts thanks to years of research.
People keep begging to help him but he doesn’t need anyone’s help. How could any lesser person help him? Lmao.
