My father had this beast strapped to his leg every time he piloted a Huey during his long Army career.

That’s awesome!

Interesting choice. A model 16 dive knife saw back double guard. Did he special order it from Randall?

I don't know and unfortunately he is no longer with us to tell me. I do know that he said the saw feature was to cut himself out of planes/helos in the event of a crash that he could potentially walk away from.

I would maybe contact RMK and see if they have any information in their records. If he ordered it from them directly.

Not the it matters a whole lot.

Not only a single hilt, but also no top finger choil. Very interesting knife.
