Some say old Abe was tote'n a 6 blade congress when he was shot. I wasn't there so I can't verify it. There's an amazing group of knife manufacturers that have produce a 6 blade congress pattern. I've seen photos.
I've had fun with this discussion, but I'm still with Wayne and the other like minded folk ain't no such thing as a half congress, whittler or any knife unless it was cut half in two.

The knife Lincoln was carrying when he was shot is in a museum somewhere.
I have seen pictures of it, but I don’t remember where.

I'm not touching the question of is it or is it not a one third congress but would Benard Levine name a knife with a single long blade a congress only because its frame has the classic congress curve? The frame has never been made with a blade pivot in its left end and never sold with more than one blade. Sticking with my policy of using the name its manufacturerer gave a knife I will call it a Mud Creek Congress but I would not have named it a congress. [I'm asking for Q. He owns one.]

I was writing about Rosecraft's frame, not a GEC frame. IIRC you've posted pictures of your Rosecraft Congress that has a single Wharncliffe blade.
