Re: Not a SAK- Then What?!
Depends on your definition of SAK. I you think a SAK has to be red……….? Otherwise it looks like a SAK to me.
Is there a tang stamp saying who made it?

It may be an older Solingen made knockoff of a SAK.

I agree that it looks German, especially the design of the punch.
I think that I can make out a crown stamped onto the main blade.
I have an old one of similar design with wooden handles, with no tank stamp. Skip showed a nicer one that has the Ern name, and a Crown and Sickle stamp.

In general, LOTS of SAK information here:

More specifically, check out this pocket knife (posted by Jacknifeben):

Except for the handles or scales, it's the same as the pocket knife in question.

Re: Not a SAK- Then What?!
Hi Tony & HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
There were two main Swiss Army Knife makers up untill around 2005. Victorinox & Wenger. Both of them produced knives for the Swiss Military. I'm guessing that if it is not a Victorinox, then it is more than likely made by Wenger. You can probably figure it out by researching the evolution of Crosses used by both companies. In 2005 Victorinox bought out Wenger.. Since 2014 Wenger produced knives are sold by Victorinox under the name "Delemont Collection".
I hope this sheds some light on your question.
Take Care, Stay Safe & Enjoy your day Buddy!
