Case Texas Lockhorn Question

Good Evening! I have am what appears to be Case XX lockhorn knife. However, it does not say Case XX on any of the blades. Says SSP like it is suppose to and Texas Lockhorn. However there is a grind mark in the blade over one area it says Texas Lockhorn that you can still faintly see the writing. All other photos I see where the one Texas Lockhorn is engraved it says Case. Has anyone seen this before? Is this a misprint? Any information is greatly appreciated!

The knife is a factory reject or "factory second". Logo was removed so that it couold be sold but not returned for warranty.

Definitely. For what it's worth, I love those old factory seconds. I can only VERY rarely see whatever the defect was that got them classified as seconds. I have an absolutely stunning Stag Shark Tooth that is a second. While some have the grind mark like yours, others have one or more "X's" on the tang where they should not be.

Some folks make seconds a favored collecting target. I have a Texas Lockhorn like yours that BH Custom Knifeworks (bighead) put some Mammoth Ivory on.
