I remembered to take a picture of them last night. One plugs in and the other is battery operated. The Lucky Irish Black Cat came from Ireland.
*edit- I forgot to throw in a knife.

Very cool! Thanks for the pic. I like that he saves the caps. I throw the caps away before I give the bottles to my wife. I hadn’t considered saving the caps but I like it. I’ll start doing that too.1967redrider wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 12:48 pm I remembered to take a picture of them last night. One plugs in and the other is battery operated. I won’t drink any of this until tomorrow night but I just drove a 90 mile round trip to pick this up. It was the only place around here that had it. If it had been much farther, I would have either ordered it online or done without.
It was a pleasant drive. Mostly sunny and about 55 degrees.

Looks refreshing. Have you tried Tin Cup Rye? I found it to be really smooth.

I have not tried Tin Cup Rye yet but I haven’t forgotten your post about it. I saw it today but the Dark Arts Rye (and the “Fatty” beef stick I bought while there) were a bit on the expensive side. As a result, I only bought those two things but Tin Cup is still on my list.1967redrider wrote: ↑Sat Oct 25, 2025 12:44 amRailsplitter wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 4:52 pm I won’t drink any of this until tomorrow night but I just drove a 90 mile round trip to pick this up. Re: Knives and Spirits
I haven’t had a Rye yet that I would consider smooth and that’s what I like about Rye. I am mostly a Bourbon guy but I like all whiskies and Rye is a good change of pace when I’m in the mood for it. Sometimes I like a drink that kicks me right in the ole’ keester.
The Reate on the other hand, will drop shut under the blade’s weight when I push the button lock. Pretty smooth.

Cool knife and the rye sounds nice.
I was doing some coon fingering with some Johnnie Black.
Hopefully this makes up for my previous picture without a knife.

Enjoying one of the Barrell Bourbon blends again tonight. The knife is my newest acquisition. A Case 6345 made for the NKCA in 1987 and my brother picked up the plaque for me while vacationing in Memphis.

Had a couple glasses of wine at a local Winery today. I usually have 2 glasses when we go there. If one or both of them is their 24% alcohol wine, my wife has to drive home. Needless to say, my wife ALWAYS drives home.

It's good to have a DD wife, Rick. If we go to wineries, I'm the DD. But any where else, it's the wife.Railsplitter wrote: ↑Sat Dec 20, 2025 8:22 pm Had a couple glasses of wine at a local Winery today. I usually have 2 glasses when we go there. This past weekend, we met up with the wife's long time friend and her family at Three Foxes in Delaplane. So I was the DD. They have a great, cozy fireplace there, and the college 21+ kids were getting their kicks rolling down a hill behind the winery. Oh to be 21 again!

I took this picture about an hour and a half ago and I have a few more sips left in this pour. The Smoke Wagon is a brand new bottle that I just opened up tonight.
Something on another forum reminded me of this Elk handled Schatt & Morgan so I pulled it out of storage for this picture. Can’t remember the model number without looking it up on my desktop computer. There was a time not so long ago when I knew it by heart.
