Getting that big azz rattler to pose with your Marbles like that....unbelievable. You must have some kind of snake-charmer voodoo majik goin' on to be able to grab that pic. My hat's off to you, T-Dog (as I slowly back away and avoid making eye contact 
) Too bad that bad boy wasn't on patrol a few weeks ago when your home was burglarized

So, obviously the snake is the main eye-catcher in that photo, but from a purely photographic perspective, there is something else that stands out to me for the very reason that it is NOT eye-catching: the reflection in the blades. I struggle with blade and bolster reflections in nearly every knife pic I take; usually I'm trying to avoid getting any reflections such as my face or the camera or anything that draws too much attention away from the knife itself. For me, that's one of the trickiest aspects of knife photography. The mirror finish on the Marbles could've totally changed the focus in that pic if it had shown almost anything else except what it did, a reflection of the rocks the knife is sitting on. Only you know if that was intentional or purely by accident (many of my best shots are lucky accidents), but it turned out perfect. On a metaphorical level the blades, like a snake, represent a sharp danger that is well-camouflaged by their surroundings. Great photo!!
I agree that Rosecraft Teardrop is a looker. Like your very fortunate friend, I too, got mine as a gift (in the form of a "Bomb" from CCC Tony, the resident Rosecraft monger philanthropist

I too struggle with blade and bolster reflections in nearly every knife pic I take. Also, I am usually trying to avoid getting any reflections such as my face or the camera. I have to experiment with several different shots at various angles.
