Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Just scored this Indian paint brush barlow. Wish it had a touch more yellow but still my favorite color along with burnt sea dragon.

The indian paint brush is my second favorite. And I was thinking of not getting it because I wasn't crazy about it. I'm really glad I got it. It looks much better than the pictures I had seen of it.

I have been a member of the AAPK but haven't spent much time on the forum. Why? I have no idea. But I am a Case fan boy. In May I caught the barlow bug. I'm told there is no cure for it. So I will just live with it. I bought a Rough Ryder barlow for my sister. She had told me her first knife was a barlow. SO I found one and I bought it to give to her. Well I took it out when it came and I really liked it. I put it back in the box. But I kept pulling it out again. Then I would carry it. I decided she isn't going to get that knife. I was keeping it and I would get her another one. Then on a forum I mentioned how much I liked the barlow and I wanted to save up for a Case. Well a member sent me a brand new Case barlow. That was in June. I am now up to 6 Case barlows. I have to stop buying for a little bit because of a family situation. But I will get back to getting more barlows. I want to look into getting some older barlows. SO here is my latest Case barlow family photo. And the one that started this addiction, the Rough Ryder is on the top. I don't carry it anymore. Why when I have some awesome Case's?

Knice group Bill. I especially like the one on the lower left. I favor a spear blade. And I like the pics on your website.

Thank you very much. That was my latest one. It is a 2019 with green zebra wood. I like it. I have always liked the spear point. Before I caught the barlow bug the Canoe was my favorite pattern.

I was able to get my grail Case barlow knife. Even before I had the barlow bug I loved a barlow with sawcut redbone. And I got the range of my birth year since Case did not have a specific stamp for my year. So I figure 65-69 is close enough.

Awesome Barlow, Bill. The knife and I are about the same age. ::tu::

I've been on a Hawkbill kick recently, and found this 10 Dot (1970). It's been cleaned but not buffed to death. Nice full blade with half-stops and decent walnut scales. And it will cut. ::super_happy::
