Handle cover is looks dried out also lower bolster was really tarnished Other side is ok. Any ideas on restoring this cover.

Looks like delrin in the picture.
If delrin rub with 3 in 1 oil, let set awhile, wipe off then Ren Wax.
If bone rub with mineral oil, let set awhile, wipe off then Ren Wax.

Bought this knife, no tang stamp. It is blade etched. I did not find it in the Queen information section. I’m curious about age.

That's a pretty folding hunter, a #39.
At some point Queen changed the pattern numbers and the later models have some different numbers.

I'm new to this forum and by no means an expert, but I've bought a couple of Queen knives that were manufactured in China after the PA factory closed. I thought I was getting a good deal but apparently not so. "Queen Steel" and "Queen Cutlery Co." laser etched on the blade are typically made in China from what I've read online. And, there may not be a tang stamp. You may want to check with Smokey Mountain Knife Works for their input; they're resurrecting the brand and I understand manufacturing is moving back to USA.

mrbailey they are already being made here by Bear&Son for SMKW, who owns the queen trademark.

With Derlin, I have had good results with mineral oil, especially on faded darker colors like black and brown. I have not, tried 3-1 oil on Derlin, so, I guess I will give it a shot....

I tried the suggested way to darken my delrin handles on my Queen knife and they didn’t work for me this time. I tried to dye them with black ink. Used a Sharpie it seems to be ok. It doesn’t rub off, hope it is permanent. Harold

That's how I used to re-color my black work pants when they'd get bleach splatters. Sometimes the simplest way is the best way

Might not be permanent but the good news is its easy to redo

I have fixed a spot on knife handles with a Sharpie, and have not noticed any fading. I think it is a perfect solution!

I too started using a sharpie back some time ago, seems to last real good and as noted above if it needs refreshing easy-peasy.
