Very nice, John. Great job on the modification.
Beautiful knife.

Very nice S&M, Q.

Blade! Handles!! Good showing.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 24, 2025 9:18 am Hoping for a strong showing on this final WW of the month. Looking for entries from those among us with Wharnies who haven't posted them yet. Dig deep, fellow Wharncliffe aficionados, I know there's more out there yearning to be shown. I've barely even scratched the surface of my stockpile.

I am going to have to switch to Chinese blades. This really has been a fun thread: maybe we will see a resurgence this week!
Here is a Case Seahorse. The blades are as ground, not polished. I cannot say that I am a fan of this finish but it is a bit different.

Very neat knife. I do not recall seeing that locking mechanism before.
Beautiful!
Great series of photos of your knife and your adventure.knifeaddict1965 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 25, 2025 12:19 am A few more of my Ivoryman #77 Barlow from our recent trip out west.

Great score! And story.bestgear wrote: ↑Wed Sep 24, 2025 8:08 pm A bit of an odd ball with a story (of course). My community college knife making instructor is Ed VanHoy who is renown in the knife world for his mechanisms and his Damascus steel. I've been helping Ed out with a few projects and last Saturday while I was at his shop a package arrived from CRKT where Ed works as one of their designers. This 5102P Snap Lock is a new rendition of his patented locking mechanism and when he asked if I had one and I said no, he tossed it to me and said "you do now". It's taking a bit of getting used to but it's wicked sharp and a perfect neck knife. The rainbow paracord goes perfectly with the Iredescent TiN Steel Handle and a 420J2 Wharncliffe blade with a Spectrum finish.

Great trip and knife.knifeaddict1965 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 25, 2025 12:19 am Great Wharnnies everyone!A few more of my Ivoryman #77 Barlow from our recent trip out west.

Must be sleeping in, maybe getting an early start on winter hibernationWell, my Wharnies don’t hibernate and they aren’t going to post themselves, so I guess I'll kick off the new month with this quartet of Wharnies from my favorite custom cutler in South Africa. Three in Warthog Tusk Ivory and one in Coffee Bean Bag Micarta.
