I remember the x marks the spot knife was definitely well used. Figured both that and the queen would see more use. That is a good thing.
Nice to see a picture of them. I will keep you in mind when I dig up more knives. How did the other Fox fair after the inside rain storm.

Good to hear Zach.
I must fess up. Not sure how many times(I am not a collector). That goes pretty much.
I had my second mail call. First was last year’s club knife. Second was the other day a picture will be attached. The next mail call may be this year’s club knife. So that is three. 4 and 5 at the same flee market last winter. One I sold to a guy at work and I kept the little sure snap. My problem just like the trains I collected everything gets used. So I have a few carry knives. My favorites are the baby elephant toe.
Check out this one from Sexton’s knives. Already in my pocket. Problem is they are not a lot of money and they’re are few that I like.

Thanks GSP and Q. That Eureka Jack looks amazing in snakewood, might be my new favorite. Q, I didn’t notice the difference in the blade but now that you mention it, it does look like the same blade that was used in the EO and English Jack that came out in 2001.

LKS, that is nice elephant toe. I haven’t seen one of those in a long time. They hid the backsprings inside the knife to allow for 4 blades, pretty smart. I wonder how much harder that is to do compared to the regular way of making a toenail knife?

Okay the last CASE knife I posted on here was a very beautiful well made pocket knife but not this time. I'm guessing that the hardcore CASE fans are going to jump all over me but here goes.
I just received this new CASE in the mail yesterday and I'm very disappointed. I know it's not CASE's top of the line but in my opinion the materials and craftsmanship belong at some company that makes knives for $19.99.
The knife is a new Sodbuster Jr. USA XR10137 S35VN / Burgundy Burlap Laminate handles with dayglow teal liners / stonewashed S35VN stainless steel skinner blade / 3.63 inches closed at 2.1 ounces.
First the handles have a fake look and feel of plastic and the CCC stamped on one side looks like something I would do in the garage. The overall look on both sides has an uneven or unfinished appearance. The liners IMO should have been a dark color. I can't really grade the blade but I'm not a fan of the nail nick that goes all the way through the blade. There is no doubt the blade is tight opening/closing and has a very good snap.
I know that I didn't give you a very good review of this knife but it's my opinion this knife is not up to the standards of W.R. CASE and should be selling for around half the price listed on the CASE store.
.
I added some better pictures.

David, this is an interesting review. Your impressions of those matches my impressions just from seeing them. I haven’t handled one but I’m not impressed with the looks of them either.

That's a shame, David. It really could have been a very nice knife, but it looks "unfinished". I would let them have that one back, and try something else. My last two Sodbuster Jr's have been excellent little knives. That one is not up to par for sure.

Alright strike two for me. Here is another CASE I didn't care for only this time it's a matter of my own taste.
I ordered it so I would have a break in the years.
This is the 2025 Case Collectors Club Life Member's knife.
It is a Seahorse Whittler (7355WH SS) with yellow curly oak wood handles
Wharncliffe/Pen/Coping blades. CCC Pewter Shield. Case "Long Tail C" Serialization on Pocket End Bolster.

Thank you, Mark & Floyd! ::handshake:: I love the knife but was thrilled to score the Python in a very fair trade for a few knives and little cash.

Picked this up at a pawnshop awhile shop a while back, the cross guard was missing and the blade had been poorly sharpened poorly and scratched up. I sent it to Case and $30 later I got it back with a new blade, guards and buffed and cleaned. They did a bang up job!

It’s a bummer when you look forward to something and then you’re disappointed, David!

That’s a neat little Colt you got there, knifeaddict!

Looks like you did well on that auction, knifegnome! Good looking group there!

Beautiful Cheetah, Wade!
