I just acquired this dagger. The metal work is interesting to me as it isn't like anything that I have seen. There are no markings on the knife or sheath. Both sides are identical. The knife has age and patina as can be seen in the pictures.
Any help with identification or other information would be greatly appreciated.

My guess would be a handmade knife given the treatment of the guard and the shape of the pommel. The blade may have been a factory blade given the difficulty in making a dagger blade and getting the bevels right but a craftsman can do it. Nice knife, possibly a theater knife made on ship. Likely will never know for sure. I like daggers.
You can always get more money, good old knives are hard to find.
