A, " threefer " 2day....

Post by knife7knut »

Went to the flea market across the street today not expecting to find anything and boy!was l surprised. Stopped at one vendor and got this bone handled Wards 4 blade serpentine for 5 bux. Blades show a lot of mis-sharpening but they are coming back into shape. Going to be my e.d.c.for awhile.
The next stop netted the last two. The TL-14 signalmans set although old is likely post WWII . The Camillus has plastic handles and later stamp. The pliers are Boker and the leather sheath is not stamped with the MILSPEC info.
The prize was the German gravity knife. Doesnt have a marlin spike but has a spring loaded square button on the mark side. Not sure of its purpose. Also on the mark side bolster is an engraved arrow pointing to the button. Anyone know what this is? There is also what looks like a letter D and 2 numbers stamped into the rear of the pile side handle. There is a lanyard loop attached. Stamp is of PAUL WEYERSBERG & CE SOLINGEN.
Best part was the price: twenty five bux for both!
EDIT: Found out the buttons purpose: to disassemble the knife for cleaning or blade replacement!
