Even though I was not expecting one, a box recently arrived in the mail addressed to me. So I am going "what in the heck is this". Well I'll tell you what the heck this is. It is Camillus long line 4 and 1/4" folder with scenes of "Riders of the Silver Screen" on both sides. I can ID Lash Larue on the mark side, and Zorro, Dale Evans, Roy Rogers, Lone Ranger, Tonto, Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autry, Red Rider, and a couple more on the pile side. This was sent to me by our very own Chris (PringleTree) . My instructions are to keep the knife as a user, or to rehandle it as I see fit. It does have a crack thru the pile side rocker pin area in the clear acrylic, and no doubt this is why Camillus marked this as a second. The acrylic is so clear and the colors so bright that I think I will at least for now just use it as an EDC. This looks like the Camillus #23 large cigar pattern, this one being configured as a Moose, one of my favorite patterns.

I TOO have been bombed by Q and what a bomb, right when I have had a big loss and then following that hundreds of dollars of car repairs in a couple of days! ... Well, needless to say, Q, you made my day too! Thank you, man! ... That was very kind of you and thank you for the note that came with the knife, I will be keeping that note in my safe (along with other things I don't want to lose so easily). I WILL be using the trapper (one of my top three favorite patterns) and it will go into my EDC (it will be with me on my next camping trip ) .... in fact, it is already on my hip in a leather sheath replacing my Saber Soligen #214 that I had on me for today's carry....

Last year I was trying to order that same model from Chicago Knife Works online Knife Store and I keep getting a $15 cost for shipping for items over 1lb. and I decided that was too much for shipping for one knife, so I canceled the order. So, I have wanted that knife for a while now, and seeing how it came from the Ivoryman collection, that makes it all the better!

Well, Starvation Plantation has been hit again!
I'm grateful for the several bombings that have come my way over the years but today I received one that really touched my old broken heart.
doglegg sent a package containing a small paper back book, "Though I Walk through the Valley" by Vance Havner and a Case 6383 with beautiful green handles. This book will help me through the valley I now find myself in and the green handled Case is very special because green was Miss Joy's favorite color.
