Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & CO.

This is my second Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & CO. pocket knife(the first being an office knife). This is a larger pen knife. I’m curious as to its age and manufacturer being this was an old hardware brand. I can make out the second part of a faint blade etch reading “Favorite”
Closed length of 3 3/8”, Turkish clip blade is 2 7/16” long
Bone handles.
Any help with information appreciated!

Nice old knife. HS&B was a old hardware company, knives made by many companies. NYK Co and others.

This knife was made by New York Knife Co. for Hibbard Spencer Bartlett. I believe this is the typical blade etch. And a common tang stamp.

Those are two very nice knives, Jonboat and Ralph. Seems like HSB had really good quality knives made, whoever they had make them.

I have one Hibbard Spencer Bartlett and Co knife. It is a real beauty. There is nothing whatever on the knife to indicate where it was made. However, everything about the knife says Germany, in my opinion. When I tried to research this knife, the only info I found was a photo of the very knife that I own, posted years ago.
