Case XX Tested era Sportsman
Just traded for this Tested Era Case Sportsman. I’m not familiar with this handle material. I’ve seen the bone handles but is this rubber or some kind of Bakelite?? Pretty cool old knife. The blade seems pretty full. The sheath looks good too for being nearly 100 years old! I’ll add better pics when I get it in hand.

Re: Case XX Tested era Sportsman
Sportsman is not the name of the knife. All Case fixed blade knives of that era came in Sportsman marked sheaths regardless of size, shape, or model. If the knife has an aluminum guard it was made by Kinfolks for Case. Kinfolks made all the fixed blades for Case 1926-1932, they were not made at the Case factory in Bradford. Handle is referred to as hard rubber. Also, the Tested mark on fixed blades do not follow the Tested dates of folding knives. Case did not make any fixed blades before 1923.

Good info. I’m away from my books at the moment. Knife looks good to me. Do you happen to know this model or name for this particular knife? Thanks again

Looks like a 208-5 or 208-6. The 5 or 6 indicates length of the blade in inches. There was a model 209 also, the only difference being it has a sabre ground blade. Those are the only hard rubber handled models I know of.
