Last hour of an estate sale

Post by Panzer2085 »

I just so happened to stumble across an estate sale that was wrapping and this is what I picked up for $5. I cleaned it up but it only took me a couple minutes because it is in good shape. There are no cracks in the bone, the blades haven’t been whittled excessively and every blade has awesome snap. Plus I picked up a bunch of old tools and things for free.

It doesn’t happen often picking things that cheap. Now I’m wondering what else there was that I missed from the previous days. Oh well I’ll never know. But I do know opening day the knife probably wouldn’t have been that cheap.

It is scary to think of how close it came to be thrown away.
Great save, and congratulations on getting a good deal!

I know it’s crazy to think right now that knife could be in a landfill. The knife would have survived from the 30s / 40s just to be thrown away. There was a lot of stuff getting thrown away too. Nothing of use to me or anyone I know.

Wow!! A hard to find Camillus pattern, especially in the older 4 line stamp.

::tu:: Great find, and lucky too. That's a pretty old knife, but also one pretty, old knife.

I'm not sure what happened but losing any knife for whatever reason sucks especially a Case. Hopefully it can be found.

That is a rare Camillus pattern, and it appears to be an great condition! You are very fortunate to have found it at such a ridiculously low price! I love those Roger’s Bone handles! Congratulations! ::tu:: ::tu::
