I went through a stage where the Wharncliffe was my favorite blade. Now I am back to saying that the clip point is my favorite blade but I still keep a candle burning for Wharncliffes. My real affection is for the Wharncliffe knife, not for the blade.

By the way, your photo black out reminds me problems I have had when the bandwidth of my connection was really low. Or maybe the local cellular traffic was really heavy when you sent that.
Mel you may be on to something, the boss thought we needed cameras and our son told us we needed a wifi booster, we got that then xfinity thought we needed another booster so they sent another one yestiddy we'll see how that goes. ::handshake::

I'm going to kick off the first WW in September with this factory Frankenknife. This is a Queen/Joe Pardue handle with a Queen Schatt & Morgan Wharncliffe blade (the original Pardues have a Hawkbill blade) that was likely cobbled together with leftover parts at the factory around the time Queen folded. The forced patina is all my doing ::nod::

I have this Wharncliffe-ish Kutmaster stockman that I bought for $1 as the master clip blade was broken and gone. I made the new blade from 1095 bar, with double swedges and a long pull. When closed, the blade has to sit up because of the straight edge when put into a stockman frame. Its into the blade well just enough to protect the point.

Wow! Almost forgot what day it is... You guys are posting some Beauties! ::tu::

Here is one of my Favorites that I am extremely proud and honored to own. It is the Amber Stag Swayback Tim Britton Custom from Ivoryman's Awesome collection that I drooled over every time he posted. This one will never leave my collection.

Yeah, that was an experiment on a mini-trapper. The clip blade nail nick sets up pretty well for a wharnie. ::tu::
