This came from Buck today, arriving 4 days ahead of what USPS originally showed. Generally, early is welcome, but our group mail box is not secure enough to leave items in it overnight, so accurate delivery day helps. Amazon can do it, so why not the USPS? (retorical question, so no need to answer that!😉).

Buck Model 830 Marksman, Tungsten Cerakoted BOS heat treated 154CM, drop point, red and black burl witg peel ply texture and bead blasted hardware. Strong Lock System. This thing is sharp! Blade is a bit off center, but I won't likely send it back due to Buck losing my son's BOTM and not being able to replace it.

The 830 Marksman is an amazing EDC with a terrible fiddle factor that makes it hard to leave alone.

I like the Viper and the Buck on the previous page Rick, both really nice, especially that Viper.

Jeepergeo, I saw those Bucks the other day and was tempted. It looks to be a good knife to fiddle with and I’m sure it’s sharp.

Picked up these 2 "rebuilders " from Q. The pen blades for sure and maybe the main blades are not original to the handles but both well done plus he threw in a little magician's knife. Tang stamps are Colonial and Bargeon. And pretty old bone on both. Thanks Q.

You are very welcome, Floyd ::handshake:: Those two Frankenknives are probably the least pretentious knives you will ever EDC. Cobbled together from miscellaneous parts of clearly not-original origin, they are all about function over form, i.e., they open with a snap, they'll cut what needs cuttin' and they fold back up with a snap. Nothing fancy, flashy or worth showing off, just a solid working tool with a sharp edge. I am glad they found a home where they can be appreciated for what they are.

Actually, those old Boney handles are quite lovely.

That's what I'm talking about...now you're speaking my language 8) Mini-T Monkey approves ::tu::

Unusual pin placement -- I guess to accommodate the cigar band, but where's the rocker pin? ::hmm::

The rise in the well is lined up with the band, so I'm going to guess it's under the band which is on both sides. ::shrug::

Just ordered one of Brian Sorenson’s (Ivoryman) knives from Tom’s store.

The picture disappeared after I bought it but I’m about 99% certain that I bought the bottom knife in this post by Ivoryman.

Looking forward to its arrival.

Thanks Tom for fast shipping. A couple from the Iman buy it now list. A wonderful old Voss with Imans blue patina and wonderful bones and and a Schrade stockman rehandled by our own 2nd life knives, Jeffinn. I admired the warm handles on the Schrade from the time it was first posted by Brian back in 2024. Thanks for looking.

Couple of real beauties you got, Floyd 8) Not only do you now have some great knives that are sweet mementos of Ivoryman, you also got the joy of helping the Sorensen family, for which I know they are very grateful. Hard to beat a priceless purchase like that. Well done ::tu::
