I found this rusty crusty Kabar in 3.00 dollar bin. No shield on it .I cannot find a tang stamp that matches the knife. Anyone know what year it was made?

KenIn the 70's a pattern number was added between the Kabar and the USA.

The 1026 was made from the mid-1960s until being discontinued in 2000. Model numbers were first added to Kabar knives by Cole-National starting in 1969. So your knife was made between 1969 and 2000.
