So I found this on line, and it arrived yesterday. It is in like new condition and sharp! I bought it to carry on dress days at work and church.
I have another older Western the same size that I found at a garage sale, but it has standard stockman style blades. This new knife has what I am calling a Wharncliffe blade. Hadn't seen one like it. I like it and will place it in my rotation.

That is a nice little pattern. Western called that curved blade a "surgical lance" blade in their catalogs.

That looks very similar to the blade Case used on the 61 pattern. I always heard it referred to as “cuticle blade”.
