Service pics anyone?

Welcome to AAPK's Veteran’s Forum. This is a place where veterans can meet, get to know one another better, perhaps swap a story or two, and share any recent information that they have acquired from the Veterans Administration, DoD and Veterans Service Organizations, including but not limited to, DAV, AMVETS, VFW, American Legion, PVA, and MOPH. Another good source of information are branch specific organizations.
We will have a voluntary CHECKING IN topic where you can introduce yourself, years serve and branch or branches of service. Welcome Aboard!

Not me, but my active duty son. That’s him carrying the right front corner of the casket at Arlington National Cemetery. I hope it’s okay that I posted his pics here.

He is the units SAW gunner. He would rather carry an M4, but he wasn’t given the choice. What he is holding sure doesn’t have the punch that 30-06 round from the M-1 had.

::hmm:: From what I've been told the new military choice of pistol carry, a Beretta is no match for the old 45 1911's, I carried a 1911 aboard ship on Security watch. ftd

I have heard the same thing. 9mm vs 45 both with ball ammo, isn’t much of comparison if you ask me.
