knife Question
Not my knife. In an online auction near me. Unusual. Only picture they provide. Anyone recognize this?

Re: knife Question
Looks like a Pakistan made pocket knife.
Customized by a previous owner.

Re: knife Question
Looks like it has a short master blade or it’s broke?

Re: knife Question
I'm still trying to decide whether to go for this knife or not. If it was a mass-produced knife, then it looks like someone would recognize it. If it's OAK, then it might have some value depending on the creator, if it is marked? That's the only picture they provide, so you don't know if the blades or full or not. This page on the Case web site with beginner's wood carving projects would seem to suggest these types of creatures are very common in carving and that's about all I can find to hazard a guess. Imported knife with hand carved image. Can anyone tell if the handles are bone? I think wood.

Re: knife Question
I wanted to say bone at first look, mainly because of how the color has absorbed and the way the torching came out. , but I really can say. These are 2 I made for the Dec 2024 knife giveaway.

Re: knife Question
This knife ended up bringing $240.00. When you add tax + commission that is about a $300.00 bill. It was with a group of 5-6 other knives that I thought were all low value. Maybe someone went to the auction preview and knew what it was? Hopefully it will show up on eBay and the mystery will be over. I asked a very knowledgeable knife person on his opinion of the knife, and he said he thought it was a Rough Ryder frame with a custom handle. We may never know for sure.
