Most Reliable Stiletto style Switchblade Firing System

I cannot say i have been a collector for yesrs as I havent,howener i have carried switchblades as an edc since i was 10. I know the diferent makes what parts fail and things in my edl that my knives might have to stand up to.I been repairing knives modifying but now im designing and in many of my kninves i use typical rivet catch hool with lifter button all 1 piece,but i have been toying with the bar design with a leaf spring for tension and fastening a bracket into the top liner( liners are already beefed up).This is the Original style i believe,but why did they stop using it? More time / cut costs or was the design problematic? I think it woukd be much better than the current design as d stamped liners was a cheaper way to accomplish the same thing. Im building a Frank Beltrame dagger style swing guard ,with a larger cross guard( that doesnt dance) longer front bolsters and thicker liners ,rounded black horn scales.i have my liners cut but im thinking about the firing system.Imput is appreciated.Im not somome picking your mind who wont even use it,I have the knife 80% parts done Im just stuck on the firing system as i want to try somthing new ,but if theres a good reason why its not done anymore please let me know.
