I admit to being on a bit of a Colonial binge of late and the asking price on this set was daunting, but we were able to make what I think, was a great deal. And that of course lead to another deal, and another deal...and well, the Colonial collection got a bit of a bump this week.
So here we go, the Entire 18 piece Colonial Swiss Master 4860 set at nearly 22 inches tall, I was amazed (and unexpectedly surprised) that it included all of the original packaging as well. From 1975.
I think I'm in love (my knife collection started with vintage Elsener and Swiss Army/Victorinox - so this is right up my alley too)
Then we have the Colonial "The Stag" 6 piece set (set# TP-333) also with original box (dig it !).
It actually has no date which I found odd, but the artwork matches so closely to the others that I am guessing 1971-72 ish.
(the smaller cards are in that range)
And then the whole mess all together !
sometime next week I have that hoard of NOS Colonial factory stuff coming in but unless something catches my eye this may be it for the carded pieces.
So enjoy some nostalgia.
