That one measures right at 3" closed. I find that I prefer smaller knives like that for pocket carry

The VF pliers knife is beefy and popular. Should we start a club? 🤔

Sadly, none of my VF knives are in decent shape. The utility with the shadow bolsters is an early one. I wisg the pearl whittler was in better shape.

A couple of days ago, my visit to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also became the latest example to be added to my collection. It is a VALLEY FORGE, two blades, two tang stamp, two handle stamps, 3 1/8" closed, all metal, pocket knife. The tang stamps are the curved or arched style, with "U.S.A." under the curved or the arched part of the tang stamps. The main blade front tang stamp says, "VALLEY FORGE (over) U.S.A. (over) CUTLERY CO. (over) NEWARK, N.J." The secondary blade front tang stamp says, "VALLEY FORGE (over) U.S.A. (over) CUTLERY CO. (over) NEWARK, N.J." The stamp on the main handle side, is the VALLEY FORGE logo stamp. It has the two letters, "V F" inside of a double circle. The stamp on the other handle side, is also the VALLEY FORGE logo stamp. It also has the two letters, "V F" inside of a double circle. The main blade does have a CRISP half stop. The main blade does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The main blade does have a VERY GOOD closing snap. The secondary blade does have a CRISP half stop. The secondary blade does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The secondary blade does have a VERY GOOD closing snap. I guesstimate that at least 99.999% of the original, factory applied handle coating remains. This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. This pocket knife did NOT need cleaning. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

It also has the two letters, "V F" inside of a double circle. The main blade does have a WEAK half stop. The main blade does NOT have an opening snap. The main blade does NOT have a closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT require any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

So what span of years was the VF in a circle used? Goins just shows 1916 for the VF in a circle logo. I assume that means the first year it was used, not the only year.
