Re: 2025 AAPK Club Knife Information
A mere forty hours after the pre-order sales began the community has spoken and we are now sold out of our allocation of knives from GEC. Thank you to everyone that participated in purchasing this years club knife, your support of our community and forum are unparalleled!
As a normal course of cutlery manufacturing, GEC will produce more knives than our allocation and a small number of first and second rate knives will be available for us to purchase. Last year that number was 27, right now we don't know what that number will be until our knives are actually manufactured.
I am starting a first-come, first served waiting list for (a) premium members with an active subscription of any flavor (bronze, silver or gold) who were (b) unsuccessful in reserving a knife in the pre-order sales.
If you would like to be added to the waiting list and meet both criteria (a) and (b) above, please PM me with all of the following information:
Would you take a second-rate knife?
What is your PayPal Name?
What is your AAPK Name?
What is your Real First and Last Name?
What is your Telephone #?
What is your Email Address?
Once all of your waiting list information is received, I will reply to your PM to let you know that you are on the waiting list and your position in line for one (1) knife.

Glad I got my order in in time. I really like the looks of this one.

With ACSB, I knew I had to have it! It's my kryptonite. Thanks again Tom.

Your welcome Rick, I'm not 100% sure where Bill Howard from GEC is going to source the handle materials but I know he's on it and the end result will meet our expectations.RedRaiderRick wrote: ↑Mon May 26, 2025 12:56 pm With ACSB, I knew I had to have it! It's my kryptonite. Thanks again Tom.

Does anyone else see the similarities between the GEC pattern 93 and the northwoods OCOEE Jack?

The frames are very similar to this years GEC 92 pattern except for the bolsters and blades but I don't see the similarities to last years 93 pattern except for the sheep foot blade.RedRaiderRick wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 1:53 pmDoes anyone else see the similarities between the GEC pattern 93 and the northwoods OCOEE Jack?

I think a 9231.. would be pretty much a clone of the OCOEE

Packing slips are printed and the shipping materials have been acquired, now all we need are the knives!
GEC is busy this weekend with the Rendezvous but I’ll get an update before the end of the month!

Re: 2025 AAPK Club Knife Information
Like just about all Northwoods patterns, they are based on existing GEC patterns. In this case, the ocoee jack is based on the 92. You probably already knew this, but GEC produces Northwoods knives for Jay at KSF, so it makes sense to use the same tooling.RedRaiderRick wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 1:53 pm Does anyone else see the similarities between the GEC pattern 93 and the northwoods OCOEE Jack? Re: 2025 AAPK Club Knife Information
QUICK UPDATE: Yesterday August 15, 2025 I spoke to Joan Mae Howard at GEC about our order since the 92 pattern is now in production. Joan said that if all goes as planned that we should have our knives around the end of September. We had a minor schedule delay due to my rejection of the first cover material that was presented to us which looked like this:
and sourcing of the second cover material that I approved 2-weeks ago, which looks like this:
The minor schedule delay moves our knives to the end of the 92 production schedule but we are tracking to have knives in everyone's mailboxes in early October. Thank you for your patience and kind understanding for this project which started shortly after New Years Day!
