Miller Bros LB

Post by glennbad »

Let's do this one a little backwards...I got this at a knife show last weekend. The covers on there were a crude attempt at repair to keep it functional. It deserves a better existence.

Help me pick what handle material to redo this in...

Simple, old-school jigged bone; or ebony.

Well, the knife needs a bit more love than I anticipated. Here it is all taken apart. The material used to repair the covers was weird, almost looked like plaster or something. It broke and crumbled pretty easy. The liners are pretty rusty also!

Any more opinion regarding possible cover choices?

Yeah, that’s nasty. But I’ve seen your work and you have the skills to make a diamond from a dirt clod.

Looks like a fun project Glenn. Stag or jigged bone would be my first choice. However, ebony or African Blackwood would look great on it as well.
