Switchblade spring not working?

I have a switchblade wich was my late mothers, she had it for years an id always been fond of it an I've been thinking about getting it repaired but not sure where the law stands with it an not a clue where to take it an If its even legal to leave the house with? Im considering a repair myself an would welcome an help or suggestions or if it's even something I should attempt? Any help greatly welcomed

Post a picture. There are some folks here that likely can fix to tell you how.
You can always get more money, good old knives are hard to find.

And, for legality you'll just need to research the laws in your state. We don't know in which state you live so no way to answer that part of your question. I live in Texas and they are legal here.
