I have joined AAPK in order to sell an extensive collection of blades (~260 of various types and makers) that we (myself and a family member) have inherited. I was referred here, by someone on a khukuri page which I belong to, and we have a wide variety of items, including folding blades, fixed blades, swords and khukuris.
I've read the rules, contacted Bryan (owner of this forum), and he has provided me the additional information I needed in regard to selling the collection on the site. You can be assured that I will do whatever I can to be a useful member.
Valuations have been provided by individuals in the knife trades whenever possible (and this was especially important in regard to the khukuris, since those were not in my wheelhouse of knowledge). We've also tried to create price-points lower than what we could find on the internet, during instances where we were unable to get professional help.
It's taken many months to put the information together with care and in a way that provides useful information, in order to help you make the best decision in regard to your purchase. I have also hidden and embedded the blades into my business website, which I will add to my profile at a later date, once I have paid for my Gold Membership. Descriptions, conditions and pictures are to the best of our ability, with the goal being for you to receive items which are "as-good-as" and hopefully "better-than" the description we offer. Any omissions or errors are unintentional.
I'll also try to post each individual item on this forum, in the sale section, to make them easier to see, in the event you don't want to go into my website.
You'll be working with me at first (since I can be more responsive within the forums and private message system than my family member who will ultimately be the person you pay). Once you've committed to your item/s, I will put them "on hold" and also mark them as such on the webpages. We'll continue to stay in communication, and at that time I will pass my family members’ information and email address on to you, for the PayPal and mailing portion of the purchase.
PayPal purchasing is through "Goods & Services", and the buyer is responsible for the shipping. Once you pick your items, we'll take them to the post office to get you the exact cost for mailing. Next, we'll provide the final mailing cost to you for your "ok", prior to sending your invoice.
Since we are not a blade business, all sales are final and we don't offer refunds. However, if you do happen to purchase an item and have a concern, we would like for you to contact us so we can learn more and determine if there is anything that we need to do differently. Of course, always consult your local and state laws before purchasing, since we are unable to help you with packages seized by customs or other agencies.
Other useful information:
We have additional consigned items (mainly CaseXX pocket knives) which I will be adding photos of, along with the name of the company which has them (they are down the street from my office in Houston), who you can contact for those purchases. And, we've also consigned a number of Cold Steel folding knives with Arizona Custom Knives. Both companies have determined pricing for us in regard to all of the items in their care; I'll add that information in a specific 'For Sale' post, once I get all of the items listed.
Thanks for your interest. And, thank-you in advance, for passing this information along to anyone you know who may be interested.
It may take me a week or so to get started, but please keep an eye out for our items.
Last, if you have any questions, please reach out to me and I will respond as quickly as possible.
