Terrible fake

Post by Mumbleypeg »

Hope no one here is bidding on this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/297257030532

“ Vintage CASE TESTED XX 1920-1940 3 Blade Pocket Knife”

Classic example of a shaved tang and cold stamp. Note the corners and ends of letters are not square. Not a valid Case stockman pattern at that length (but hard to tell exact measurement from pictures of a knife laid next to a ruler). The knife has brass liners - Case stockmans of that era should have nickel silver liners.

When the people fear their government, that is tyranny. When government fears the people, that is freedom.

Pictures 7, 8 & 9 tell the true story of this knife. ::barf:: Camillus jigged and frame? Cold stamped, reground tang, long pull running into the tang . . .
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

You're going to look awfully silly with that knife sticking out of your @#$. -Clint Eastwood, High Plains Drifter
