Are you interested strictly in those with blades, or those with spatulas and pipe picks as well? I haven't a clue how many total have been made, but for whatever it's worth, SMKW currently shows 15 of all types.

What type of doctor knife has a pipe pick? I've never heard of or seen one.

Most wouldn't call it a doctor's knife if it has a pipe pick, but would call it a pipe knife.
Pipe knives have the same flat end, maybe even built on the same frame as the dr's, but used to tamp tobacco.
The pick is used to do a bit of cleaning on the bowl or stem of the pipe.

Yes sir Steve.
I am familiar with pipe knives and doctors knives, but I had never seen a doctor knife with a pipe cleaner.
That is until Jerry just posted one.

Early in my accumulation fetish, I had a thing for doctor knives. Still have some of them.

Here is the spreadsheet link that I provided Brian in 10/2019 for use by AAPK members. When I provided this file to Brian it was in OpenOffice Format or Excel ...it was able to be searched by word/name or by model number, but it appears that feature was not carried forward when Brian added this file to the data base for AARP. Possibly you can find it useful in determining the number of pattern of Doctor Knives have been produced by SMKW of RR Knives. Of course any Doctor knives since 10/2019 would not be on this spreadsheet. Cheers.

I collect RR doctors knives. I couldn’t tell you how many different models they make because I only have about 25 of them and I know there are dozens more I don’t have.

I can tell you that they made several pipe doctors. At least 4.

They make single blade doctors knives. They make them with a main blade and a pen blade and they make them with a main blade and a spatula. To me, a doctor’s knife is a knife with a spatula and a main blade of either clip, sheep’s foot or spear shape. Surprisingly, RR didn’t make a lot of models with Spatulas. Much more common are the two blade models or the single blade models.
