Not too recently, this pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT purchase the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, it did get added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is an IMPERIAL, two blades, one tang stamp, 2 3/4" closed, tipped bolsters, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "IMPERIAL (over) PROV., R.I." Both blades appear to have suffered some metal loss. This does NOT cause me any concern. Both blades still sit fine when closed. The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does NOT have an opening snap. The main blade does NOT have a closing snap. The secondary blade does NOT have a half stop. The secondary blade does NOT have an opening snap. The secondary blade does NOT have a closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is still in GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

There is a small piece of one scale missing. This blade does NOT have a half stop. This blade does NOT have an opening snap. This blade does NOT have a closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD condition. This pocket knife required VERY little cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Picked up first Imperial. Looking for an approximate age. 3 3/4” closed.

Going only on the tang stamp it looks like 1920s. I haven't come across a lot of Imperials that old but the pattern and jigging on this knife are so different from the ones I've seen that I'm going to throw a random fact out here without any idea if it's relevant. During that era Kastor was importing knives from Germany under many brand names, including Imperial.

A few months late on this one, but this is a very interesting fact. I did not know this. The knife in question certainly looks German, in my opinion atleast.

A couple of days ago, my trip to the post office produced this multi tool, with a glass cutter, camping or scouting, pattern or style of pocket knife. It now becomes my most recent example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also became the most recent example to be added to my multi tool with a glass cutter, camping or scouting, pattern or style of pocket knife collection. It is an Imperial, one blade, four tools (a cap lifter or bottle opener with a screwdriver, a punch or awl and a glass cutter), one tang stamp, 3 7/16" closed, camping or scouting, pattern or style of pocket knife. The bail is missing. The main blade front tang stamp says "Imperial (with crown) (over) PROV. R.I." with a vertical "USA" on the side. This is my fifth Imperial, multi tool with a glass cutter, camping or scouting, pattern or style of pocket knife. My other four were previously posted, by me, under and throughout, this topic or thread. The first one was posted on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. The second one was posted on Thursday, October 26, 2023. The third one was posted on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. The fourth one was posted on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Also, this is only my fifth, multi tool with a glass cutter pocket knife, that was NOT MADE IN GERMANY. This main blade has NO half stop. This main blade does have a WEAK opening snap. This main blade does have a WEAK closing snap. The three tools ALL open and close properly, without any problems. This pocket knife is in GOOD condition. I did have to clean it up a little bit. I took some pictures and here it is.

I just bought this old timer marked imperial. I can not find anything online about it. Does anybody know about what year it is or has anyone seen another like it?

Going to jump in on this thread, ‘cause I don’t see a separate forum category for Imperial stamped knives. Still a bit new here, so I thought would tap this forum’s knowledge…
I have two, Imperial KampKings.
By the tang stamp, I can see that both these knives were made between, 1956 and 1988. ( (according to a resource here.)
Are there any other, identifying features of the knives other than the tang stamp, that can help narrow down the build year/date of these knives?
Is it possible?
If so, what should I be looking for?

I picked up this nice old 3 and 5/16 inch Imperial jack in a group recently. Tang stamp is Imperial Providence RI, so 1930-1936 vintage. Probably celluloid, but no sign of deterioration yet.
