That cedar looks so warm and cozy you could warm your toes by it. I thrifted a jewelry box to use for knives and put knife stickers on it to make it more manly looking, but yours is way cooler.

So for years, I've been meaning to restore my late Pop's old cedar jewelry box. He was from the era that you never threw anything useful away.
This is an old cedar cigar box that he kept his jewelry in. He had enough money to buy a nice jewelry box, but this was his. I even gave him one
for Christmas, but he never used it. When he passed away in 2010, I brought it home and put it in a closet as it was.

The box was in terrible shape, it had many cracks that he held together with staples, it was missing a drawer divider, and had a distinct lean to
the right. I decided that he would like it if I restored it and made it useful again. So after a total disassembly, cleaning and reassembly, it has a
new lease on life. I left many of the bumps and bruises, but it is now held together with glue instead of staples. I made a new drawer divider, and
it now holds some of my "jewelry".

My Pop sits atop it in his baseball uniform from WWII. I think he would be glad it still survives...
