Worth of an old Case?

Post by Just Plain Dave »

This is an exploratory thread.

My new job now is supposed to start 16 Nov. It's been pushed back from mid Oct.

We've sold much of what we can and are starting to drag bottom.

I do NOT want to sell it! But may have too.

My Case Scout with a 1919-1940 stamp that was my Grandpa's:

What would it bring? Roughly?

I can think of no other knife I own that could bring what this one might.

It is my absolute FAVE of the half dozen knives I got when he died.

Dave,

It looks to be in very good condition. It should bring $200 + on the open market.

I don`t follow Case knife prices very much, but this would appeal to Scout knife collectors and Case brand collectors.

It would be a shame to sell it though, hang on to it if you can!

Nice old knife ::tu::

Hang on to it if you can. If you sell it, all you have left is the memory.

I know what it means to see things goin to poop on you and havin to scrape up $$ wherever you can. I've been through it. I sold a LOT of stuff I wish I'd never sold. I know you have to do what you have to do, but I'd sure see if I could figure out another way.

As of right now I have been told not to sell it.

Let them find out it's worth $200+ though and all bets are off!

Selling a gun tomorrow morning :x And two more may go.

Gotta keep my truck for when the job finally starts!!!
