Your Opinion on this 896k....please

Post by CluelessNick »

Two Schrade Walden 896k knives.

The one on the left is my carry knife. The handles on it are glass smooth, you can drag a fingernail down the side of it and feel nothing.

The one on the right is a near mint 896k with the Barnwood Delrin handles on it. Not a real rough texture but enough to feel it on the handles.

Do you think they are the same model knife ? They both started with Barnwood Delrin handles ?

If so , do you think it possible that the older knife has had it's handles worn down that much and that uniformly just from pocket carry over the years?

The brass pins on the old knife sit just about the same height as the newer knife. I am curious what others think about it. Thanks...Nick

I'm guessing the one on the left had some pocket carry time. ::nod:: Or it was a display knife.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

There might be some opinions in the Schrade Legacy Forum. ::shrug::

You should post your inquiry there also.
