Shenandoah show next weekend!

Post by Gunsil »

Hi all, just a reminder that the Shenandoah Knife Show will be held next Friday and Saturday, April 4th and 5th at the Rockingham Fairgrounds in Harrisonburg, VA. I am hoping to be set up with my usual 16 feet of antique knives along with Barry (1fartsmella) who will have some of his beauties for sale. Stop by and say hello!

I think, if you frequent this show, we've been missing you. Do you have a Kennedy Knives sign?

I always see Guy (VA Guy) and his son at the show, along with Ryan Daniels, Carvin Don, itsakiller (forget his name at the moment) and a couple others. I hope to see a good turnout of sellers this year, the sellers hope for a good turnout of buyers. πŸ˜‰

John, I think "itsakiller" is George Leray's handle.

Be nice to finally meet you! That is about the furthest south I get and probably the furthest north you get! I used to do Parker's but Voyles is too small for such a long drive to me.

See if you, John, Barry, Gene can find me another farmers jack.
I regret not buying the one Gene offered a while back.

Brad W's definitely coming, he loves the show. I sold pretty much all of my Case hunters to Brad (the really good ones) and the rest to Dennis, bringing a couple I dug out but nothing to write home about. Yeah, he has good things to say about you too.

Lyle, I was surprised you didn't buy that IXL farmers jack, it was in fine condition, better than my photos showed. I sold it at the Shenandoah show after you turned it down. Maybe it will appear on another table this time but I think the guy who bought it meant to keep it. He is a vendor/collector there and I'll ask him.

I don't know why either, I have 2 IXL stags, one has been used and is an earlier knife. The other is unused and has the flat blade. I really don't have that example knife, I can’t fathom what happened, but I appreciate your help.

I've seen different times posted for Friday. Does anyone know for sure if it opens at 10:00 or 12:00?

Successful show, I hit paydirt! ::ds:: A Wostenholm IXL horseman's knife with all the attachments for $85, Challenge at the bottom and Russell spatula from Barry, Keen Kutter at the top from Gene. Barry gave me a Regent dog/boatswain's whistle I forgot to picture.
