Being a sucker for the unusual and offbeat, I purchased this recently on the bay...The handle is a single piece of bone, with two slots for the blades and a single pin for the blade pivot. There's a second pin that acts as the stop for the blades when they are open.
The blades, while not mirror polished, appear to be well made and have nice filework on the spine. They are also quite sharp. No back spring, so the blades stay open (and closed) by friction.
It's interesting to me that the pivot pin is not perpendicular to the blades, yet the blades rotate properly and don't seem to have any play (I haven't wiggled them too much for fear of breaking something).
I'm presuming the knife was hand made; it came from Alaska, so possibly by someone of Inuit or another indigenous group? There is no marking, of course.

Awesome fish shaped knife. I recently saw a fish shaped knife in a ”knife lot” on eBay myself. I was seriously considering making offer for just the one knife but the seller’s rating was only 83% so I haven’t taken a chance. It looks amazing to me though.
