Help with info old CK pocket knife

Post by HowJoe1 »

Hi, a friend suggested this forum as a good source of information. I recently found an old pocket knife my Grand father gave me before he passed way 1994. It’s made by C K - which I believe is Carl Kammerling. Trying to find out more about it. I’ve seen similar looking knives, but nothing with the same shape handle. Would anyone know more about it or be able to point me in the right direction. Some photo attached of before and after cleaning it up. Thanks

Welcome here!
Goin's encyclopedia of cutlery markings shows a Carl Kammerling & Co., 1904 to present.
Located in Solingen, Germany. Apparently uses a trademark "P.L. Schmidt.
There must be other indications of his work in other books especially concerning Germany.
Nice knife.

Houston Price says C.K.Co., Germany was also Colonial Knife Co. That one is nice. J.O'.
