March 2025 Forum Member Knife Giveaway

Post by bestgear »

This month we have a first-time donor to the monthly knife giveaway. After winning a beautiful Case 6137 CV Chestnut Bone Sod Buster Jr. in the June giveaway last year, Sasquach (Charlie) decided to treat the forum and part ways with his 2022 Case Tony Bose Teardrop Jack with Black Sea Dichrolam® Handles, Pattern #TB101028 SS, Case Item # 25115.

Charlie states that this knife has only been displayed, never carried or sharpened, and is in the original factory box with the standard paperwork. The knife looks better in the hand than in the photos. Charlie hopes the winner enjoys it; it's an eye catcher.

Black Sea Dichrolam®, as the name suggests, resembles a dark ocean of waves in an opaque surfacing material using a blue/green dichroic film on a dark background. Proprietary patterning creates occasional veins of deep copper reds and golds among blue waves, then shifts into deep violets at skewed viewing angles. Dichrolam® is the brainchild of furniture designer turned chemist, John Blazy.

Good Luck!
Instructions for entering the giveaway...

Simply click here and select a number between 0 and 999.

You will have until March 31st (6:00 P.M. Eastern) to pick a number, after which entries will not be considered. The Illinois State Lottery evening pick-three drawing will determine the winner on March 31st. The individual closest to the selected number without going over will win. The Illinois lottery results can be found on the following website:

https://www.illinoislottery.com/dbg/results/pick3

To be eligible to win, you must be 18 years of age and either (a) have made at least 100 total forum posts at the time of entering the monthly giveaway or (b) have previously donated successfully to at least one prior monthly knife giveaway.

Please ensure that your Board Preferences Miscellaneous Notifications are set to notify you via email when someone sends you a Private Message (PM) to ensure the time requirements below are met.

The first-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM after the drawing and will have three days to respond with contact and shipping information. If the first-place winner does not respond within three days, the knife will be offered to the next player on the list without going over.

The next-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM, and they will have one day to respond with contact and shipping information. If the next-place winner does not respond within one day, the knife will be offered in the same manner to the next player on the list without going over.

Again, good luck to all eligible participants!

Congratulations to Jeepergeo whose pick of 742 was 17 away from the winning lottery number drawn last night of 759 but the closest without going over. A PM has been sent to claim the prize that Sasquach (Charlie) kindly donated. I'm sure that beautiful Case 2022 Tony Bose Teardrop Jack with Black Sea Dichrolam Handles will be on it's way to a new home shortly. Congratulations. ::ds::

Thank you bestgear for organizing this Forum Member Knife Giveaway.

I'm the happy winner of the March 2025 Forum Member Knife Giveaway and send out thanks to member Sasquach (Charlie) for his donation. I feel like I won twice because the package from Sasquach arrived with not only the featured donation of the Case Bose Tear Drop, but also a Colonel Coon Barlow! As you can see in the photo below, both knives are beautiful and nice additions to my collection, which by the way did not already include either a Tear Drop or a Barlow!

Again, my thanks and appreciation go out to bestgear and Sasquach.

nope, no specific requirements but I always encourage potential donors to look at prior month’s giveaways (https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... m.php?f=23) and plan to donate something commensurate.

If you are interested in being a donor, please PM me for more information.
