Brantford Cutlery Co. ?

Here is a knife I got at an auction the other night. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Closed length is 4" with a 2 3/4" blade.

Justin,
According to the Price Guide, they were a side company of Butler Bros. out of Chicago. Butler was around from 1865 to 1952, but Brantford was only used for about a year in 1900. Warranted Never Dull is a marking used on both knives as well. I'm not sure if Butler Bros. was an actual cutlery, or if they contracted their knives from other cos.

brantford cut. co. germany - import? c1870s

goins - brantford cut. co. u.s.a. - 1910-1930 - trademark used by butler bros.

Thanks guys! I couldn't find it in my pitiful research library. I need to buy a Goin's. The blade etch has been buffed off.

I guess I didn't over spend. Got it for $10

My only Brantford. I think this one is 1910 to 1930.

There are previous threads on Brantford and I think I posted one of their catalog pages. Every Brantford knife that I have owned looked like it was made by Camillus in the "four-line" era.
