Cornwall Knife Co. New York City. 1900-1920. --- 3 7/16" closed.
A few searches find that this knife can be associated with Camillus.
It would not surprise me. This is a very well made knife. Quite solid in fact.
In fact I'll carry it today.

Goin's says there were "many cutlery shops in Cornwall". You would think one would surface at some time.

My younger son, who is forty now, selected this knife for purchase at a knife show in Chattanooga, I think, when he was nine or ten.

It is a Cornwall.

The master has a half stop, the other two do not.

All three blades have killer snap, opening and closing.

The knife was mint when bought, unfortunately, he had a Fightin’ Rooster four blade congress that outgassed and it affected this knife, as well.

I think the handles on this knife are still good.

The handles are what I call green onyx and the bolsters are of the tip variety.

I think the shield is held on by tabs, but they are not readily visible on this knife as on others I’ve seen.

I suppose this should be considered a junior cattle knife.

Thanks! I've built up quite a collection of knives that have various types of green celluloid handles and that green Cornwall has been a part of that collection since the beginning.
Did Cornwall have any major affiliations or connections with any other knife company?

Looks like I have a Cornwall knife as well, one of the same models as in your photo. Mine is a little rough, but still bad if it is 100 years old.

I thought I'd add another Cornwall to this thread before offering it for auction. This jack is stamped Cornwall Knife Co., N. Y. City. It appears to have never been used, sharpened or carried. It's in as found condition. The rust and oxidation appear to be from improper storage and lack of maintenance over the past one hundred years, rather than off gassing from the composition handles.

Just found my first Cornwall.

Cracked Ice, "Kinney Shoes" Ad knife with cap lifter. Funny enough, I had a feeling the secondary would be a cap lifter. For some reason, in my (limited) experience, I've noticed a lot of ad knives have cap lifters. Also, a lot of ad knives are for shoe companies. Anyways, this one will likely stay with me as it seems my "thing" is slowly becoming these jack knives with cap lifter secondaries.

Thanks for posting that little workhorse. I guess the cap lifter was pretty common.
And, yeah, the rule is pretty neat.
