Thanks. I'm undecided as to whether I should "redneck engineer" the repair or hand it off to someone who knows what they are doing. I've been watching a couple of the real knife mechanics here. I want to try my hand at repairing/modifying knives but bought a box of 4 "junkers" to practice on.
I've done some, Bill. If i can do it, well you know the rest.. :D

I know enough to be dangerous. There are some "real" knife gurus on the forum though.
I would say keep practicing on your junkers until you have the confidence to tackle that one.

I think scrolled bolsters look best on a canoe pattern and yours are nice examples Charlie.

Here's my only canoe. It's December's give away. Maybe I'll get more canoes in the future. In the meantime, I like this one. Colonel Koon smooth bone.

Nice Rick, that harvest orange bone shows up beautifully.

Really nice Charlie. I love that green ivy one. I think those bone scales might just be some of the best that Case ever came up with. All winners.
