Was there a Case Stag Cheetah made in 1973? Help

A guy I know has a case cheetah that appears to be stag, but according to this price guide that knife does not exist, Can some one clarify if there was a stag cheetah in 1973?

Case did not make a 7 dot "Cheetah" nor did they make an 8 dot "Cheetah". Look at the pattern number, if it starts with a "6" then it's rehandled.

Very true but, just keep in mind that it has to be a "9" dot or it ain't right with one exception. There were some "10" dots made but it's real easy to tell if it's "10".

We talked about this a year or so ago and a lot of the members here will remember. However, I wait until someone else posts the answer before I give it out.

My books don't show a Stag Cheetah in 73 but bone and derlin, with the derlin rare. The only question I have is could it be a 76 with a 73 blade?
