2025 POS questions for participants. Poll.
Sometime next month I'll launch the annual POS exchange.
Last year we used a form that saved me a lot of work. However, when people entered their AAPK username, they weren't always consistent on how it was spelled or capitalized. This caused me to have to spend a lot of time cross checking the user list for the correct username format so I could PM the results.
Would participants be willing to provide their email on the form? That way I could automate everything, and wouldn't have to use the forum's PM system at all, which is very tedious. Of course all data is kept confidential.

Terrific idea! And, at this point, the participants who have voted in the poll are 100% in favor!

Hi Guys,
Greetings to all.
I have not been around for a while as both wife and I have been battling cancer. While away, I seemed to have missed the POS stuff.
I understand what POS means , but how is it relative to our knives, please?
Are we talking about new knives from certain countries that are dreadfully made or about once great knives that have been allowed to deteriorate or badly misused.
Just recently I purchased a brand new Sheffield made 3 blade folder and noticed weeks after that a chunk of horn broken out from one of the slabs, certainly earning that knive a POS title. Even worse I could not find the broken off bit to glue it in.
Could some kind soul describe to me what this POS discussion is all about.
Cheers

Sometime after the first of the new year we gather up choice selections from all the crap we've accumulated during the previous year and send it to some other lucky soul on the forum. It’s called the POS Exchange.

Sorry to learn of y'alls cancer battles. Pray you can get over this dreaded disease.
Concerning POS, go up to the search tab on the left and enter "POS Exchange" and you will discover what an interesting event it can be!

I'm in with the email addy. If it simplifies with the organization of the pos and helps Kolvir, more power to him.

Overwhelming yes, thank you. I'm out of town all next week, so it'll probably be closer to the end of the month before I get the exchange started.
For the two who said no, I ask you to reconsider. The board, but not me, already has your email address. Instead of getting a email saying you have a pm here with the POS information, you'd get a email directly from me. It won't be shared with who you mail to or receive from.

Sorry, I'm dealing with some health problems. It'll be a few more weeks until I can start it, unless someone else wants to run it earlier this year.

Kolvir (Andrew) is giving up the reigns this round to focus on his health and recovery and I've volunteered to coordinate the POS exchange for this round. I will formally launch the giveaway in the coming weeks so now is the time to solidify your piles and let the composting begin. Stay tuned!
