The factory-made Bucks have a different firing button and they are relatively new to Buck’s lineup. I think Buck introduced the 110 and 112 autos in 2018.

This 112 was made as an automatic knife at the Buck factory.

This model is an “Auto Elite” but they also offer standard brass and ebony wood models.

Two very attractive knives, Tony ::nod::

That Aristocrat Majestic really grabs me; I like the smooth, graceful grind on the blade. I am curious about that small squarish piece of metal sticking out from the end of the bolster. Some type of locking mechanism, perhaps? ::hmm::

Thanks Q! This is a double locking knife. The blade locks when opening, then the metal piece/lever can be moved forward into the slot in the spine for an additional blade lock. It fits perfect and tight. To close the blade, you pivot the piece back and down to unlock the blade. It's unique!

Glad to help. The Japanese knives are what moved me from a small collector to an avid collector. The quality is hard to beat.

I have that exact knife. I got mine from SMKW and I had my name laser engraved on the blade. I have a 112 auto also and I did the same thing to it. When my kids end up with them later they won't be able to NOT think about me when they see it.

Sweet! Do you carry yours in a belt sheath?

I like to carry my 112’s loose in the pocket but I don’t carry this one that way because of the lack of a safety switch.

I have a small collection of 112’s and this Auto Elite is possibly my favorite among them. Super nice knife.

Yes I do carry mine in the belt sheath. The only thing I don't like about a belt sheath is I don't feel a knife when I reach in my right front pocket. I actually put one on the other day and before I walked out the door for work, I reached and picked up a "pocket" knife and dropped in my right front pocket because I forgot I had one on my belt. But there is nothing wrong with having two knives.

RMEF Browning set
RMEF Browning set
Found these on eBay. RMEF (Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation) blade stamps, Browning tang stamps, model numbers on reverse tang and half stops on the trapper No mention of blade steel, nor country of origin. Looking at the Browning website, my guess would be China. What the hey, both are decent knives and didn’t cost what a nice dinner out with the wife would’ve set me back. Although buying more knives might just cost me that nice dinner anyway 🤷🏼‍♂️

Got this new Rosecraft trapper in the mail yesterday from our own Tony at Corn Creek Cutlery. He also sent a couple of other items with it that I'm very grateful for. Be sure to visit his AAPK store and see the Rosecraft knives he has.

Very cool knife, David, I love how it has both a pistol-grip, and, a swell-center which I haven't seen all on the same knife before now. Knice! ::tu::
