"I'm gonna kick tomorrow..."

Post by GSPTOPDOG »

OK... it is January 13th, ::paranoid:: did anyone make a New Year's resolution NOT to buy anymore knives? ::uc:: ... ::paranoid:: I mean, at some point, enough is enough, right? ::shrug:: ... ::hmm:: At some point the madness has to stop, correct? ::skeptic::

::hmm:: So, the question is: Are you sticking to your New Year's resolution? ... ::paranoid:: Can you kick the habit? ... ::hmm:: Do you finally realize that you already have "TOO-MANY-KNIVES" ::uc::

Never going to make that resolution. A knife is on the way
from southern IL. Buying a few knives each year makes me
feel good.

Counting some lot buys, I think I'm at about ten this month.

I will say this--I didn't buy Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars this time. Instead of Walmart, I went to my pharmacy to buy some saline nose spray. The knife store started out inside that pharmacy's (originally separate) gift shop before getting its own location next door. Thus, I went there first. And yes, I did buy a knife.

Def not a resolution for me as I sell 99% of what I buy.

Lots of cork screws in that pile, maybe the person gave up wine? 🤭

I have no resolutions or reservations about buying more knives this year.
Scott, selling 99% is a good percentage ... Think I will set that as an attainable goal. ::nod::

I'll have to admit I've slowed down some, haven't bought one this year although I did check some out at TSC yestiddy. Nothing there floated my boat. ::handshake::

I don't think I can kick the knife habit, even though my wife wishes I would. My goal is to decrease the number of knives I purchase, maybe to only one per month this year.

Actually, when you crunch the bones/numbers, it is doable. Just means that I will have to buy more knives this year to only keep 1% of them!

I gave up trying to even slow down on buying knives. ::groove:: Though like most, my target knives vary from time to time. But I am always only after traditional of course.
