What is Your Latest Old Camillus? (pre-1960)

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

23's are a very substantial knife. Great size and if it is a short line, even better.

Here’s a short line 72 that came from the bay. Got it right ,has piece of bone missing on shield side. Great snap , blades are not to bad. Needs cleaning and oil. Might check with a couple of our knife mechanics/ magicians and get it fixed . The federal shield on a short line 72 was the reason for pursuing this one.
And a 3 and 3/8 inch long ( closed) tourist knife. This has the Sword Brand tang stamp and4 line Camillus stamp on the main . The smaller pen blade has the 4 line stamp . So probably 1920 s to 1930 s made for the California tourist sector. Blades are snappy and in decent shape. Needs oil and cleaning. Very well built for a tourist knife. Doesn’t look like the covers are gassing out ! It should be fine after all these years but will keep it separate .

Received this 3 1/4 inch long Jack knife yesterday. Is just like George described it . Great seller by the way !! Both blades stamped with 4 line stamp and main has the Sword brand etch . Both blades have half stops . This is a nice addition to the Sword brand sub collection within the Camillus collection .
The hunt continues for a gunstock framed Sword brand and a few other hard to find models .
You all have a good one out there!

I picked up this well-used no-line Camillus last weekend. There's no pattern number visible. It measures 3 5/8".
Thanks for looking.

This 3 line Jack came in last week . Early 1900s . 3 and a 1/2 inches closed . Great snap and 1/2 stops . And my favorite bone choice . This shield is a first for the collection . Not sure if it’s a hour glass or figure shield or what. Will see if that shields thread has that answer .
Take care .

Newest piece and first of the New Year, absolutely love this knife and quite happy to own. I don’t own many knives and yet has to be one of my top few that are my favorite.
